This is a rare trade — and rarer still is finding one specialist who understands all of its parts. It can only be learned over many years, through a great deal of study and practice. I have been doing this continuously since 1993, and I trained in the craft in five countries.

On every installation I work to your needs, setting up the self-playing system so it is perfectly aligned with the way your acoustic piano behaves.
Voiced for your room
After fitting, I optimise the sound for the space itself, so the instrument speaks at its best in that acoustic. This often means working on the piano's own tone too — voicing and intonation — which, as a concert technician, is no obstacle.
Everything in one pair of hands
If the system isn't going into a brand-new piano or one already prepared in a workshop, the instrument first needs to be mechanically well regulated — and often it isn't. The good news: there's no need to call in another specialist. I start there and put it right. See exactly how it works.
Although the QRS system already holds a vast library, I add further pieces as a gift — and, as a special service, I create custom music for your self-playing piano on request. Show me your favourite song or style and I'll transfer it to the instrument, in any genre. I can even sync it with an audio backing track, so you hear not just solo piano but a full orchestral accompaniment.
Music synced to video
Uniquely, I can synchronise the piano's playing with video: what you see on screen is what the instrument plays — an artist's concert, for example.

After installation I give you a complete demonstration and training on how everything works — and for any questions later on, I provide online support.
